OUR TEACHERS

The core of Strong Foundations is the belief in hiring high quality educators with extensive classroom experience. Our teachers are state certified to teach elementary school.

Mrs. Neal 

Owner/Teacher

Mrs. Neal has a Masters Degree in Educational Technology from Arizona State University. She has spent the past 18 years teaching Preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade. She is a state-certified Reading Specialist and also holds an Arizona Early Childhood Teaching Certificate and ESL endorsement.

Mrs. Bradley 

Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Bradley has 17 years of teaching experience with a specialization in early childhood education. She is currently pursuing her Masters in School Counseling. She has taught Preschool through Third Grade. She is a state-certified Reading Specialist and Spalding Certified Teacher.

Mrs. Zellers

PreK Teacher

Mrs. Zellers has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from NAU. She has over 17 years teaching experience with specializations in special education and early childhood education. Mrs. Zellers has taught: Resource, Preschool, PreK, First and Second Grade.

Mrs. Alger 

PreK Teacher

Mrs. Alger has over 27 years of teaching experience with an endorsement in early childhood education. 

She has a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in early literacy.  She has taught PreK through Fourth Grades.

Mrs. Green

PreK Teacher

Mrs. Green has 6 years of teaching experience focused in early childhood education. She has worked as an Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten Teacher. Mrs. Green has her degree in Family and Human Development from ASU (Go Devils!).

Mrs. Gillespie

PreK Teacher Assistant

Mrs. Gillespie has 18 years experience as an aide and instructor. She has extensive experience and training working with special needs children. Mrs. Gillespie has worked with children on a one-on-one basis as well as small group and whole classroom instruction.

Mrs. Elliott

Preschool Teacher 

Mrs. Elliott earned her degree in Multi-Lingual, Multi-Cultural Elementary Education from ASU, also minoring in Spanish and Sociology. She has 8 years teaching experience, with an English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement.

Mrs. Rathjen

Preschool Teacher 

Victoria Rathjen is a licensed educator with more than 14 years of experience teaching in both the classroom and online. As a native of Columbia, South Carolina, Victoria obtained her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Clemson University (Go Tigers!). She then made the trek out west to Arizona where she taught first grade in Phoenix’s Cartwright School District for five years. Concurrently, Victoria attended Arizona State University where she obtained her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction: ESL (English as a second language). She also holds an Arizona Early Childhood Teaching Certificate and ESL endorsement.

Mrs. Smith

Preschool Teacher Assistant

Renae Smith has a BA in Business Administration. After spending ten years volunteering in her kids elementary classrooms she knew she wanted to work in education. Four years ago Renae began working as an administrative assistant. She is now looking forward to assisting with fresh, bright, young minds in preschool.
